Description
This heated Montana sapphire is a shade of bright blue with a hint of green, reminiscent of a peacock’s feathers. The color was developed by heating the sapphire in Montana, but no other treatments were used. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. This sapphire has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
This sapphire is faceted in our “Sparkling Snowflake” hexagon design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 3.41 carats and measures 9.6 mm across the points, 8.8 mm across the flats, and 5.8 mm deep.
This sapphire comes with a special GIA “Sapphire Origin and Traceability” report that records the gem first as the rough uncut stone direct from the mine, and then as the finished cut gemstone. The report number is 6224241929 and can be verified on the GIA website; see attached image of the report in the image gallery.

Video Request
Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
