This lovely unheated sapphire comes from Umba, Tanzania, and is a gorgeous magenta. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. The sapphire is hazy with rutile silk. The silky quality has been factored into the price, making it a great value for the size and color.
This sapphire is faceted in a precision-cut custom hexagon design; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. It weighs 1.69 carats and measures 8.5 across the points, 6.8 across the flats and has a depth of 4.0 mm, the perfect size for an engagement ring.
