Description
This unheated Australian sapphire is a gorgeous shade of very slightly yellowish olive green. We source our Australian rough from small-scale artisanal gem miners that work the Anakie gem fields by hand for minimal environmental disruption. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. This stone has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. There is also a slight haze to the gem from undissolved rutile silk that gives the gem a soft glow. The inclusions and haze have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
This sapphire was faceted in the United States in our “Serendipity” brilliant oval design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 1.68 carats and measures 7.5 x 6.1 x 4.6 mm.
