Description
This unheated Umba sapphire is a gorgeous light lavender purple. The gem is 100% natural and untreated in any way. The gem was upcycled from a vintage piece of jewelry, and based on gemological evidence, we believe it is from Umba, Tanzania. This gem has slight inclusions that are just barely visible to the unaided eye. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
The sapphire has been recut in the United States to improve the brilliance; it is faceted in a custom square design and cut to high precision. It weighs 1.65 carats and measures 5.1 x 4.3 mm.
