Description
This unheated sapphire is a gorgeous rich blue, one of the finest shades of blue found in sapphires. The gem is 100% natural and untreated in any way. This sapphire was acquired directly from a reputable gem dealer, and based on gemological evidence, it is from Burma. This gem has slight inclusions that are just barely visible to the unaided eye. There is also a slight haze to the gem from undissolved rutile silk that gives the gem a soft glow. The inclusions and haze have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
The sapphire was faceted outside the United States in a classic rectangle cushion design. It weighs 1.51 carats and measures 6.9 x 6.4 x 4.1 mm.
This sapphire also has a Lotus Gemology sapphire origin report included; the report number is 3590-8395; a photo of the report is attached.
