Description
This beautiful heated Madagascar sapphire is a gorgeous pink. The color was developed by heating the gem, but no other treatments were made to the gem. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. The sapphire has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
The sapphire was faceted outside the United States in a classic Asscher-style square design. It weighs 1.17 carats and measures 5.8 x 3.7 mm.
