Description
This beautiful unheated Montana sapphire is a unique combination of blue and aqua. The gem shows flashes of the two colors, creating a “particolored” effect. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. It has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. There is a slight haze to the gem from undissolved rutile silk, but it gives the gem a soft glow that is quite pleasing and enhances the color in low light.
This sapphire is faceted in our “Triptych” trillion design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 0.63 carats and measures 5.6 x 3.3 mm.
